The International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety (IABMAS) was founded in 1999 and has as of July 2022 2,052 individual members across all continents of the world.
IABMAS’s field of activity is to encompass all aspects of bridge maintenance, safety, and management. Specifically, it deals with: bridge repair and rehabilitation issues; bridge management systems; needs of bridge owners; financial planning, whole life costing and investment for the future; bridge related safety and risk issues and economic and other implications.
IABMAS’s mission is to become the premier international organization for the advancement of the state-of-the-art in the fields of bridge maintenance, safety and management.
IABMAS’s objective is to promote international cooperation in the fields of bridge maintenance, safety and management for the purpose of enhancing the welfare of society.
